01

Why provenance matters

Most timber is sold by species.
We specify by origin.

Just as great wine reflects its vineyard, exceptional oak reflects the forest from which it was grown.

Climate, soil, elevation and decades of careful forest management all influence the colour, grain and character of the timber.

By sourcing exclusively from Burgundy, Vernay delivers a material language that remains consistent across flooring, stairs, joinery, cladding and architectural applications.

THE VERNAY DIFFERENCE

Every Vernay board can be traced back to a single region in Burgundy, France. One forest. One supply chain. One uncompromising standard.

04

Consistency architects can specify

When projects combine flooring, stairs, joinery and wall linings, consistency becomes critical.

Because Vernay products originate from the same forests and are produced through one supply chain, architects can specify complete timber palettes with confidence.

Rather than matching materials from multiple suppliers, every application shares the same natural character.

05

Sustainability without Ccompromise

06

Crafted in France

Many oak products begin in Europe but are processed elsewhere before reaching Australia.

Vernay takes a different approach.

Our timber is grown, milled, dried and manufactured in France before being shipped directly to Australia.

This preserves the integrity of the material while maintaining complete traceability throughout the supply chain.

07

Built to endure

French oak has been used in Europe’s cathedrals, vineyards and estates for centuries.

Its beauty lies not only in the day it is installed, but in how it improves over time.

The timber develops richness, depth and character, becoming more distinctive with every passing year.

It is a material chosen not simply for today—but for generations.
