Solid French Oak Stair Treads

French Oak Stairs Made to Match Your Flooring

One of the defining advantages of Vernay French Oak stairs is the ability to carry the same timber from the floor into the staircase.
Our solid oak stair treads are produced from the same French Oak used across the Vernay flooring collection. Flooring, treads and risers can therefore be coordinated for grain, tone and finish rather than attempting to match timber sourced from different suppliers.

For projects extending French Oak into joinery, wall and ceiling lining or other architectural applications, Vernay provides one coherent material palette across the interior.

Available pre-finished in four tones — Naturelle, Clair, Sablé, and Fumé — with brushed or dressed surface
options, they integrate cleanly into both contemporary and traditional residential schemes. Custom nosings are
available to order and matching from the same batch ensures colour consistency throughout.

Applications

Stairs applications

Architectural staircases rarely follow a single standard specification.

Vernay can supply solid French Oak stair components to suit individual project requirements, including custom tread lengths, matching risers and project-specific nosing details.

Where stairs form part of a broader Vernay specification, timber can be coordinated with flooring and other French Oak applications to achieve consistency throughout the project.
